Malaysia’s first Hyatt Place hotel debuts in Kuala Lumpur

Hyatt Place Hotel has opened in Kuala Lumpur, the first Hyatt Place brand in Malaysia and the first international hotel in the city’s new business hub, Bukit Jalil.

The 250-room hotel, which opened in October, enjoys a strategic location, being a 30-minute drive to Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport and a 45-minute drive to Kuala Lumpur International Airport, while the Awan Besar train station is a short drive away.

General manager Kevin Flynn said: “As Bukit Jalil continues to grow and thrive economically, we are excited to add to the momentum by welcoming the first Hyatt Place hotel to the area and this country. With our smartly designed social spaces and guest rooms with separate work and sleep areas, our multitasking guests can easily accomplish what they need to do while on the road.”

Hotel features include an all-day dining restaurant, ‘The Market’, offering a variety of grab-and-go snacks and quick bites available throughout the day and night, a bar and an Italian-themed rooftop restaurant and bar. Guests can also make use of the fitness facilities, including a rooftop pool and a yoga room as well as a ‘Necessities’ programme, those forgotten items that guests can borrow and enjoy for free.

Local attractions around the hotel include Bukit Jalil National Stadium and shopping facilities, alongside golf courses and a recreational park.
